The Trap Of Living A Double Life!

Good Morning! Be encouraged today, avoid living a double life! It hinders your spiritual growth.

A double-minded person is unstable in all his ways (James 1:8)

Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name (Ps. 86:11)

Another devious plot of the devil revolves around convincing us that we can live two lives. He thoroughly enjoys the thought of us living our daily lives divorced from our Faith. The enemy encourages us to be neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm. Unfortunately, many of us worship God on Sunday’s but live a totally different life during the week. On the outside it appears you are living for Jesus but the reality is you are living a double life - choosing to justify two different kinds of behaviors in your mind. Being double-minded is a sin. Living like two different people isn’t God’s plan for you. We serve a God who wants us to lay our problems at His feet. If you are living a double life, then pray and ask the Lord to give you a single heart that is in pursuit of Him. Let your heart be single-minded in your pursuit to walk in the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Morning Prayer: Father God, thank you for being a God of restoration. You alone are capable of bringing us to the place of wholeness. Holy Spirit, I pray this morning that you produce in us a single-mindedness.

Lord, teach us Your way, O Lord, as we walk in Your truth. Give us each an undivided heart that we may fear Your name. For great is Your love toward us. In Jesus’ matchless name. Amen.
