Good Morning! Be encouraged today, pursue loyalty.
O LORD, God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Israel, keep this desire in the hearts of your people forever, and keep their hearts loyal to you. - 1 Chronicles 29:18 (NIV)
But Ruth said: “Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God. ~ Ruth 1:16
To Whom are you loyal? Are you loyal to your friends, family, favorite sports team, work, and/or boss. Perhaps, you are loyal to a brand of products or a favorite store? Are you loyal to your faith. Above all things our first loyalty should be to God. We should be committed and loyal to God in our hearts, in our minds, in our life, and in our daily activities. Our allegiance should be to the true and living God and we should have no other gods before Him. Choose today to set your heart and eyes ONLY upon Him. Love and cherish Him. Let it be your heart’s desire to be loyal to Him, give Him ALL of you.
Morning Prayer: Jesus, our Lord and Savior, we thank you for your great faithfulness and loyalty. Father God, we pray for an increase of the virtue of loyalty to You and to Your Church. Help us to be wise and loyal to our family and friends but most of all to You, just as Jesus exemplified. Help us to surrender ourselves completely to You and to be devoted to You until our earthly life has run its course. Help us to mature and deepen in our faith so that we may grow in love for You and Your people. Lastly, help us to be resolute in fulfilling the Great Commission and help us to be good stewards of the graces You have given us. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
