Good Morning! Be encouraged today, obey the voice and commandments of the Lord!
Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22 NKJV
As parents, when our children listen and obey our directives, we are pleased. Simple obedience brings forth peace and contentment, whereas disobedience can bring much disappointment, confusion, and grief. How many times as a parent or guardian have you lamented? If only she or he would have listened to me, so many troubles could have been avoided. The same way we desire for our children to obey; the more our Father in Heaven desire for us, His children, to obey His voice. He expects us to hearken to His words; for He says if we love Him, we will obey His commands!
Morning Prayer: Prayer: Lord God, forgive us for the times we have caused you pain by our disobedience. Thank you for your mercy when we have failed to hearken to your voice. Help us to know your Word, listen to your voice, and be obedient to you at all times. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
