Good Morning! Be encouraged today, don’t lose heart!
In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. He sent from on high, he took me; he drew me out of many waters. He rescued me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a broad place; he rescued me, because he delighted in me. (Psalm 18:6, 16-19).
When we feel overcome by the weight of our circumstances and the battle seems to be more than we can bear, do not lose heart. Wait, watch, and trust in the saving power of our God.
Morning Prayer: Father God, thank you for hearing and answering us when we call upon the name of Jesus Christ. Your word declares, many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of all of them. Therefore, by faith we can stand on this promise that when we are afflicted, your grace is sufficient and you will deliver us out of our pain and suffering. Holy Spirit, grant us the courage and patience to wait on the Lord as God strengthens our hearts to endure all of our afflictions. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
