Meet the Author
Monica Hall Coley
I was born on September 4th, and raised in a small town in eastern, North Carolina with a whopping population of 786. I am next to the youngest of six children with my fraternal twin sister, Veronica being the youngest of “The Brady Bunch.”
I’ve always had a heart and passion to motivate, inspire, encourage, and uplift people from all walks of life. In fact, the meaning of my name in Latin origin is “adviser”. By nature, I enjoy giving and pouring love into others. Building divine relationships are very important to me.
Being an adventurous and fun person, I LOVE LOVE LOVE to travel. In fact, one of my favorite and fondest memories as a kid is driving my mother’s car through the woods, then plowing into a beautiful pine tree. It was the best joy ride ever! Besides traveling through the woods, I’ve been blessed to travel to three continents and several countries to include: France, Spain, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, and Morocco. My husband and I are traveling to Italy this summer.
I knew from a young age I wanted to be a teacher, banker, AND a writer, all at the same time. But after a weeklong practicum teaching middle schoolers, I realized quickly that I’d lacked the patience to be a teacher. Hence, is why I changed my focus and pursued a business degree instead.
I graduated from East Carolina University (GO PIRATES) with a BA in Business Administration and later earned my MBA from University of Maryland University College. I currently work as a Treasury Operations Manager, where I enjoy leading and mentoring a team of talented and gifted individuals. It’s a great honor to lead by example, always exuding a Christ-like attitude and Godly behaviors influencing others towards a positive outlook and productive lifestyle.
I am happily married to Pastor Richard J. Coley, a dedicated wife, stepmother of two, and grandmother of four. Besides my family which I completely adore, working and serving with the Body of Believers at Little Rock Church of Christ, and pouring back into others through my Daily Encouragement and Spreading Love Prayer ministries are truly the essence of what makes my heart beat. I am so grateful and humble that God chose to BLESS ME TO BE A BLESSING to His Kingdom. To God Be All the Glory!
